It’s easier to move your sofa across the street; it requires a bit more effort and the power of an organizational mind when taking your furniture across interstates. Moving isn’t just simple transportation; it involves planning, coordination, and timeliness. When moving long distance, you must carefully consider the following:

• Timing: Start planning your move early. A rushed move can be a nightmare; if you leave an item behind, you’ll have to backtrack states to retrieve it. Keep your schedule clear to take care of any last-minute stresses. On a time crunch? We’ve got it.
• Storage: If you’re in between locations or downsizing, storing your belongings shouldn’t require creating a map across town. Don’t squirrel your items away in a family member’s basement or a friend’s closet: keep all your items in one place so they’re ready when you need them (squirrels aren’t efficient at all, trust us). We have affordable storage options for your convenience.
• Organization: Pack carefully and consideringly. What you want to be unloaded first will have to be loaded last. You’ll need plenty of boxes, and other supplies like moving blankets and furniture pads are helpful to ensure your items won’t get scratched or damaged in the move. • Disassembly and reassembly: Save space in the moving truck by disassembling large or bulky items like bedframes, desks, furniture, and playground equipment. If you’re wary of turning your new home or office into a DIY project, we DIFY: do it for you.
• Your items: You can load most household items into a moving truck, but hazardous and explosive materials aren’t allowed. You’ll have to transport your fireworks, scuba gear, cleaning supplies, and nail polish yourself (seriously, it’s flammable). Not sure if an item is moveable or not?
